President, Director Dr. Barry Dov Lerner

Barry Dov Lerner holds a B.A. from Arizona State with honors; holds a Masters degree in Hebrew Literature and has studied for his DHL in Midrash and Ancient Judaism at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He wasordained in 1970 and received his Doctor of Divinity degree from JTSA in 1996. Dr. Lerner had 10 years of experience as a student rabbi, and he has served as a congregational youth group leader and youth director prior to ordination. He has served for 34 years of experience in United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism congregational pulpits, 25 years on the staff of Camps Ramah and is a member of the National Youth Commission of United Synagogue for whom he has written and edited materials and chaired committees. He has been well received as an author speaker and teacher currently in Greater Philadelphia-Southern New Jersey institutions, and also over the years for United Synagogue, Women's League for Conservative Judaism, Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs, AAJE/Jewish Educational Services of North America, Board of Jewish Education of New York in Jewish Family Education. He has served the UJC-Federation Rabbinic Cabinet as assistant Editor of The Orchard, on the ORT Rabbinic Advisory Cabinet, and the Rabbinic Cabinet of Bonds for Israel He has been active in inter-faith work since 1972 with the Matawan/Aberdeen Clergy Association, Bayshore Association of Ministers, Priests and Rabbis to the present. He has been an instructor and adviser to inter-faith couples and those converting to Judaism for 40 years. Rabbi Lerner founded two websites for the express purposes of Kiruv: (1) In-Reach to affiliated and identified members of the Jewish community in all of its congregations, arms and institutions -at www.jewishfreeware.org and (2) Outreach to dual-faith, unaffiliated and even disaffiliated individuals and families making user-friendly Jewish materials available to one and all through the web without fee at www.foundationforfamilyeducation.org.

Vice-President, Barbara M. Lerner

Barbara Lerner is currently the Jewish Family Education Consultant for Greater Philadelphia for the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education. She holds a B.A. degree in Early Childhood Development and a Masters of Hebrew Literature and is a doctoral candidate in Education at The Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Mrs. Lerner is a certified director and teacher from Melton Educators, Hebrew University, and a certified Headmaster for North American Day School. In addition, she has significant experience teaching and directing schools and working with families of students since 1967.

Secretary, Director Avi Barak Lerner

Avi Lerner holds a B.S. degree in Marketing and Advertising from Bryant College and brings to FFFE significant marketing and project development experience in such varied industries as the ski and travel industry as well as substantial participation in leading youth activities over the past 20 years. Currently he is an associate with AFLAC. Mr. Lerner intends to draw on his business expertise in developing and implementing the marketing activities of FFFE.

Reuven Moshe Lerner-Friedman

Reuven Lerner holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and currently owns and directs a computer consulting company with an international clientele. He is regarded as an international authority in the Web/Internet and next generation of computer facilitated education and marketing. Mr. Lerner will guide FFFE in developing and implementing its web-based products and services.

Martin J. Feinberg

Martin J. Feinberg is a partner at Dreier LLP, practicing in the areas of litigation and intellectual property. Mr. Feinberg's areas of specialization include intellectual property litigation and anti-counterfeiting, criminal litigation, with particular expertise in white-collar crime and computer related crimes, administrative disciplinary proceedings, corporate defense, corporate investigations and security, and general business litigation.

Mr. Feinberg joined Dreier LLP from Gursky & Partners, LLP. Prior to that, Mr. Feinberg served as a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney's Office, where he was a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Major Frauds Bureau, Rackets Division. Mr. Feinberg has authored a chapter on the Criminal Enforcement of State Laws, which is used by the IACC Foundation to train law enforcement and is soon to be published by the IACC in a treatise entitled Trademark Counterfeiting.

Edward J. Finkel

Vice President of Development Consultants, Inc. Senior staff member of leading fundraising consulting firm serving clients in the not-for-profit sector. Ed is an active leader in his congregation and activist for Conservative Judaism internationally. He serves on the board member of Masorti Olami/World Council of Conservative/Masorti Synagogues. He is Business Manager for Hazamir of North Jersey, a 65 voice Jewish Teen Choir and advisor to the Zamir Choral Foundation. He has been a contributing writer for The Jewish Ledger (Hartford, CT); and Voice and Producer for Jewish Federation of Greater Springfield Radio Public Service Announcements.

Sarah Chaikin, BS, IBCLC

Sarah has BS degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Allied Medical Professions Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She clinical experience with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Philadelphia Psychiatric Center, Adult Day Treatment, and the Philadelphia Veteran's Administration Hospital. She is certified and accredited with American Occupational Therapy Association, International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, re-certified by CERPs, Peer Counselor Administrator Training, La Leche League International and published numerous articles in the field. In the community, Sarah is very active in working with mothers of new-born and La Leche League. In the synagogue she has served as the founding Chairperson for Family Education and subsequent years.
